Apple WWDC 2013 dates announced and tickets
Apple has just sent out an email to all registered developers regarding the famous World Wide Developers Conference (WWDC). It will take place, as usual in June (10-14) at Moscone Conference Center (San Francisco).
Tickets will be available starting tomorrow (April 25th) with a price of $1,599 (varies on currency).
In 2010, the first time I attended, tickets sold out in a week.
In 2011 in two days.
In 2012 in 2 hours.
Will tickets for WWDC13 be sold out in 2 minutes this time?!
Now that I live here I'm not sure of the value of the ticket (for me) but I still have great memories. The first time I attended, for example, I cam all the way from Italy and managed to also land a reporter gig for iPhoneItalia... very fun.
Funny thing (kinda) is... now that I live in San Francisco, I will be in Italy for the summer to visit family/friends and therefore will not be able to attend WWDC13 !
Side Notes: Eligibility To buy a ticket, you must be a member of the iOS Developer Program, iOS Developer Enterprise Program, or the Mac Developer Program as of the announcement of WWDC (5:30 a.m. PDT, April 24, 2013) and at the time of your ticket purchase. Developers between 13 and 17 years of age must have their ticket purchased by their parent or guardian who is an eligible member. Purchasing Ticket purchases are limited to one (1) per person and five (5) per organization. The same credit card may be used up to five (5) times to purchase all of the tickets for your organization. However, each team member must sign in with their own Apple ID and purchase their own ticket.
* Each ticket costs $1,599 USD or in local currency where available. If WWDC tickets are not available on your country's Apple Online Store, you will be directed to an online purchase form and you will need to make your purchase with a credit card that can be charged in USD. By purchasing a ticket, you agree to the WWDC 2013 Attendance Policy.
Update:
I called it right, tickets ACTUALLY sold out in 2 minutes... insane.
