What the other trackers cannot tell you
Your heavier nights have something in common
Most apps hand you a number and leave you to explain it. Nightjar reads your own log back to you and names what the heavy days share: a weekday, a place, a person, an occasion, a mood.
Fridays at The Anchor with Marco
4.8 on average, against 1.0 on your other days. 8 days logged.
It stays quiet until the numbers support it, and it never claims one thing caused another. These are things that turn up together in your log. That is all they are.
A look inside
Built for the way you actually drink
One tap when you pour. The exact pour, not the nearest preset. And a line about why, for the version of you reading this back in six weeks.
What you get
An accurate record you control
Nightjar asks nothing of you beyond the drink you just poured. No account, no streak to protect, no daily lesson.
Volume and strength, to the decimal
Set the pour in fluid ounces or millilitres and the ABV to one decimal. Nightjar works out the standard drinks in US 14 g, metric 10 g or UK 8 g units.
Every drink keeps its own time
Log as you go instead of reconstructing the evening at midnight. A night reads back as a night, not as a lump sum.
Presets you name yourself
Add, edit, reorder and delete your own drinks, so "Old Fashioned" says more than "Spirit, 1.0" will a month from now. Renaming one never rewrites your history.
No account, no server of ours
Your log lives on your phone and backs up to your own private iCloud, which you can switch off in the Settings app. Face ID or your passcode can lock the app, and the Home Screen icon says Nightjar and nothing else.
Numbers that say what they count
Streaks, dry days, money spent and calories, each with a plain explanation of what it leaves out. An in-app FAQ answers eighteen questions, including the awkward ones.
Export any time
Every drink to CSV whenever you want, and to Apple Health if you choose. Nothing about your log is locked inside the app.
One purchase
