Terms of Service

Last updated 11 October 2026

These terms are the agreement between you and BigBalli Consulting ("we", "us") for the PV Master web app at bigballi.com/PVMaster/app. By creating an account or using the web app you accept them. If you do not accept them, do not use it.

1. What PV Master is

PV Master helps you judge whether a roof is worth putting solar panels on. For an address or your current location it shows building data, a climate history, current weather, a solar report, fourteen sizing and financial calculators, a compass to aim panels, and an advisor powered by OpenAI that answers questions about that property's numbers.

Every figure it shows is an estimate. Roof measurements, sunshine hours, production, savings, payback and incentives come from models, public datasets and assumed prices and utility rates, and they can be wrong for your roof, your bill or your local rules. The advisor can misread the data or state something that is not true. PV Master is not an engineering survey, a quote, financial advice or legal advice. Before you buy, finance or sign anything, get quotes and advice from qualified local installers and professionals. You are responsible for the decisions you make.

2. Accounts and sign-in

You sign in with a one-time link we email you. Your email address is your identity, so keep access to that mailbox safe: anyone who can open the link can sign in as you. You must be at least 16 and old enough to form a contract where you live. An account is for one person; do not share it, sell it or let others use it.

You can sign out of every device from the Account screen, and you can delete your account at any time (section 9).

3. Plans

Without a plan you can explore a sample property on every screen and read the guide and glossary. Looking up a real roof needs a plan or a single lookup:

Prices are shown in US dollars and include sales tax or VAT. Checkout may show your local currency. If we change a price, the new price applies from your next renewal, and we will tell you before it does.

Web access is bought separately from the iPhone app. A purchase or subscription made through the App Store does not unlock the web app, and a web purchase does not unlock the iPhone app.

4. Payment, cancellation and refunds

Web purchases are made through Link (Stripe). Link is the merchant of record and the seller: it takes your payment, charges and remits tax, sends your receipt, and handles refunds and disputes. Your statement shows LINK.COM. Link's terms apply to the payment and Link's privacy policy applies to the payment data. We never see your card number.

To cancel a subscription, open Account in the web app and choose Manage subscription, or cancel at link.com. Cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep access until the end of the period you have paid for. Cancel at least a day before a renewal, because we cannot cancel for you after Link has charged.

Refunds are handled by Link under its terms. If a payment is refunded or successfully disputed, the access it bought ends, including the report and advisor for a single lookup. Nothing in these terms limits a refund right the law gives you.

5. Limits and acceptable use

Building data, weather and the advisor cost us money for every request, so every account has limits:

You must not scrape, crawl or bulk download data from the service, run lookups by script or other automation, build a dataset or competing product from it, share or resell access, try to get around a limit or a paywall, probe or overload the service, or use it to break the law. We may slow or suspend an account that does, and a suspension for breach does not by itself earn a refund.

6. Maps and building data

The map, address search and building data come from Google Maps Platform. Your use of them is also subject to the Google Maps/Google Earth Additional Terms of Service and the Google Privacy Policy. Weather comes from OpenWeather and climate history from NASA POWER.

7. Our intellectual property

The software, the reports and calculators as presented, the guide, the glossary and the PV Master name belong to us or our licensors. We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the web app for your own planning, including when you advise clients as an installer. You may share or print reports for properties you look up. You may not republish, resell or redistribute the service or its data in bulk.

8. Your data

The Privacy Policy explains what we collect and how long we keep it. It is part of these terms.

9. Deleting your account

You can delete your account from the Account screen. We cancel your subscription first, then delete your account, your lookups and your advisor conversations, as the Privacy Policy describes. Deleting ends any lifetime access, cannot be undone, and does not by itself refund anything.

10. Changes to the service and availability

We do not promise the web app will always be available or error free, or that building data exists for every address. Building data, weather, maps and the advisor depend on third parties and can be unavailable. We may change or remove features, and we may change prices, limits and plans for the future. If we remove something you paid for in a way that matters, we will tell you first and work out a fair remedy.

11. Disclaimer and limit of liability

The web app is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, including that estimates are accurate, complete or suited to a purpose such as buying, financing, sizing or installing a solar system.

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses, for lost savings or profit, or for a purchase, installation, financing or contract you enter relying on the service. Our total liability to you for any claim about the service is limited to the greater of what you paid us for the web app in the 12 months before the claim and 100 US dollars.

Some places do not allow some of these limits. Where that is so, the limits apply only as far as the law allows. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot be excluded, such as for fraud, or removes rights the law gives you as a consumer.

12. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to its conflict of laws rules. Courts in California have jurisdiction over disputes, except that if you are a consumer you keep any right to bring a claim in the courts where you live and to rely on the mandatory consumer protections there. Please write to us first at [email protected]. Most problems get solved that way.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We will change the date above and, for material changes, tell signed-in users by email or in the app before the change takes effect. If you keep using the web app after that, you accept the new terms. If you do not, delete your account.

14. General

If a part of these terms cannot be enforced, the rest stays in force. If we do not enforce a term at once, we have not given it up. You may not transfer your rights under these terms. These terms and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between us about the web app. Apple, Google and Stripe are not parties to it.
