Everyone advising you on a technology decision is paid more if the answer is yes.

The vendor is paid if you sign. The agency is paid if you build. The consultancy is paid if the project is large. Your CTO earns no commission, but a bigger system is a bigger team, and a bigger team is a better job.

None of that makes any of them dishonest. It makes them poor sources of the one thing worth having before the money moves, which is a serious reason not to.

That is the work now. One decision, looked at while it is still reversible. A proposal on the desk. A contract waiting for a signature. An AI initiative the team wants funded. A build or buy call. A project six months late and asking for more.

Two weeks, $5,000 fixed, a written verdict that is yours to take to any team you like. Sometimes the verdict is that the plan is sound and you should go ahead. That answer costs the same as the other one.
