Who we are and what these terms cover#

Tessera is published by BigBalli Consulting ("we", "us"). These terms cover the Tessera web app at bigballi.com/Tessera/app/ and the account and payment service behind it. They add to the BigBalli Consulting terms for all our apps. Where the two differ, these terms control for the Tessera web app.

The Tessera apps for iPhone and Android are separate products. They are sold and licensed through the App Store and Google Play under those stores' terms and the BigBalli terms above.

By using the web app you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use it. You must be at least 18 to buy Tessera Pro.

What the web app does#

You enter a birth date, a birth time and a birth place. Your browser computes the chart: type, strategy, authority, profile, definition, centres, channels and gates, and the planetary positions behind them. In the web app, our servers never compute a chart. The place is used only to find the time zone in force on that date.

A chart depends on the birth time. A time that is off by a few minutes can change parts of it, which is why the app can show how the chart varies across a window around an uncertain time. We take care to get the astronomy right, but we do not promise that any chart or reading is correct for you.

Without an account you can draw a chart and read the free text. That demo keeps what you enter in your browser tab and saves nothing on our servers.

Accounts and sign-in#

You sign in with a one-time link sent to your email address. There is no password. The link works once and expires after 15 minutes. Anyone who can read your mailbox can sign in as you, so keep it private. A Cloudflare Turnstile check on the sign-in form keeps bots out. Disposable email addresses are refused.

One account is for one person. You are responsible for what happens under your account. You can sign out of every device from Settings at any time.

Tessera Pro: prices and what you get#

Tessera Pro unlocks the full text for every centre, channel and gate, saving people to your account, Connection charts between two people, and the Today view of the current transits. There is no free tier inside an account and no free trial.

• Yearly: US$34.99 a year. A subscription that renews every year until you cancel.
• Lifetime: US$69.99, paid once. Access for as long as we offer the Tessera web app. It is not a promise that the web app will exist forever.

Prices are in US dollars and include tax where tax applies. Checkout shows the final price before you pay. If you buy Lifetime while a Yearly subscription is running, the subscription is set to end at the close of the period you already paid for, and it does not renew.

Who sells it. Web purchases are made through Stripe's Managed Payments, and checkout shows them as sold through Link. Stripe, through Link, is the merchant of record and the seller: it takes your payment, charges and remits sales tax or VAT, sends your receipt, and handles refunds and disputes under its own terms. Your bank statement may show LINK.COM rather than Tessera. We never see your card number.

Renewal, cancellation and refunds#

Renewal. A Yearly subscription renews automatically at the end of each year at the then current price until you cancel.

Cancellation. Cancel at any time from Settings, Manage billing. You keep Pro until the end of the year you paid for, and the subscription does not renew. If a renewal payment fails, Pro stays on for up to 7 days while the payment is retried.

Refunds. Refunds are handled by Stripe through Link. Write to us at [email protected] and we will help with the request. If a payment is refunded, in full or in part, or a dispute is decided against it, the access that payment bought ends. Nothing here limits a refund right that the law gives you.

When Pro ends. The people saved in your account stay there. You can still open their charts, export them and delete them, but you cannot add or edit people, and the Pro text, Connection and Today views lock again until you buy Pro.

Deleting your account cancels a Yearly subscription at once, without a refund for the rest of the year, and ends Lifetime access. It does not by itself refund anything.

App Store and Google Play purchases#

Web access is purchased separately from the iPhone and Android apps. A web purchase does not unlock either app, and a purchase in the App Store or on Google Play does not unlock the web app. Store purchases are refunded and cancelled through Apple or Google, not by us and not through Stripe.

Your data, export and deletion#

You can download your data from Settings at any time, as a JSON file with your email address, your plan and the people you saved. You can delete your account from Settings, Delete account. For your security this asks for a sign-in less than 15 minutes old. The Privacy Policy says what we keep, for how long, and what deletion removes.

Only enter birth details for another person if you have their permission to do so.

Acceptable use#

You agree not to:

• scrape, crawl or bulk download the service or its text by automated means, or use a bot to create accounts or request sign-in links;
• share, resell or sublicense your account or the Pro text, or use it to build a competing product;
• get around a paywall or a limit, or probe or overload the service;
• enter information about someone in order to harass, profile or harm them;
• use the service in a way that breaks the law or interferes with it for others.

We may slow or suspend an account that breaks these rules. A suspension for a breach does not by itself earn a refund.

The connector for AI assistants#

The Tessera connector at bigballi.com/Tessera/mcp lets AI assistants such as Claude and ChatGPT calculate a chart, look up transits, compare two charts and explain Human Design terms (how to add it). It is free, needs no account, and is for your own reflection, like the web app. These terms apply to it, including the acceptable use rules and the limits of liability below.

The assistant writes its own reply from what the connector returns. We are not responsible for what an assistant adds, leaves out or gets wrong, and your use of the assistant is governed by its provider's terms. We limit how many requests one address can make, and we may change the connector's tools or stop it at any time.

Content and intellectual property#

The readings, the software and the design of Tessera belong to us. You may use them for your own reflection and share your own charts with people you know. The chart engine uses the open source Astronomy Engine library under its MIT license. Place data comes from GeoNames under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 license.

Tessera is an independent app and is not affiliated with Jovian Archive.

Availability and changes to the service#

We work to keep the web app running, but we do not promise that it will be uninterrupted or error free. We may change, limit or end any part of it. If we stop offering the web app, we will give at least 30 days' notice by email, refund the unused part of any Yearly subscription, and let you export your data before it closes.

No warranty and limit of liability#

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE". TO THE FULLEST EXTENT THE LAW ALLOWS, WE GIVE NO WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT ANY CHART OR READING IS ACCURATE OR SUITED TO YOU.

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT THE LAW ALLOWS, WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST DATA OR PROFIT, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE, OR FROM ANY DECISION YOU MAKE BASED ON IT. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM IS LIMITED TO THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE WEB APP IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT THAT GAVE RISE TO THE CLAIM.

Some places do not allow these limits, and then they apply only as far as the law permits. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Governing law and disputes#

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of law rules. Disputes are handled as set out in the dispute resolution section of the BigBalli Consulting terms: first informal negotiation, then arbitration or the courts of San Francisco County, California, as described there. Write to us first at [email protected] and we will try to fix it.

Changes to these terms#

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the current version. If a change is significant, we will tell you by email or in the app before it takes effect. If you keep using the service after that, you accept the new terms. If you do not accept them, cancel and delete your account.
