The outputs look fine. The queue moves. Everyone feels like they are finally catching up.
Then the hidden cost shows up. Not in generation, but in selection.
What gets answered automatically when the customer is angry. What gets escalated when the contract wording is weird. Which fields become "optional" because the automation needs clean inputs. Which exceptions quietly teach the team to route around the system.
That is what humans are still for: setting constraints, defining what "good" means, owning the exceptions, and making the tradeoffs explicit.
When work is cheap, the scarce resource is responsibility... and most teams find out where that boundary really is only after it gets tested.
