The bar for “good enough” is
The bar for “good enough” is dead. The new bar is delight.
AI has democratized building apps. Cursor , Bolt , Replit, Lovable, and LLMs in general (Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, xAI) let any motivated person ship a working product in days. TikTok + simple growth loops have largely solved the “how do I get my first 100k users” puzzle.
What’s left?
Craftsmanship.
The difference between a forgettable app and a decade-defining one now comes down to the details most builders are too rushed (or too lazy) to obsess over:
- Micro-interactions that feel like magic - Onboarding that gets someone to the “aha” in 8 seconds, not 8 minutes - Typography, spacing, and haptics that make people say “this just feels better” - Ruthless polishing until the app feels inevitable
2026 won’t be won by the fastest coder or the cleverest growth hacker.
It’ll be won by the people willing to spend 100 hours making one screen feel perfect.
