This year reinforced something I have seen over and over across products

This year reinforced something I have seen over and over across products, companies, and founders.

Effort is rarely the constraint. Direction is.

I watched teams work insanely hard on the wrong thing. I helped others slow down, clarify the real goal, and suddenly make faster progress with less noise. The difference was never talent or tools. It was having a clear outcome, a system designed to reach it, and the discipline to work that system instead of reacting to every new idea, feature, or trend.

Personally, this was a year of pruning. Fewer projects, sharper focus, cleaner decisions. Letting go of things that were intellectually interesting but strategically distracting. Doubling down on work where I could actually move the needle, especially helping founders and operators translate vague tech ambitions into concrete, executable plans.

The biggest takeaway is simple but uncomfortable: most problems people blame on execution are actually problems of clarity. If the goal is fuzzy, the system cannot work. And no amount of grinding fixes that.

Going into next year with fewer assumptions, clearer constraints, and much higher standards for what is worth building, shipping, or saying yes to.

Cheers to an amazing 2026! 🎉
