Connector
Use SerialHunt in Claude or ChatGPT
SerialHunt is available as a connector, so an AI assistant can answer "is this bill worth keeping?" from the government's star note production figures instead of from memory.
Add it
The server address is:
https://bigballi.com/SerialHunt/mcp
In Claude, open Settings, then Connectors, choose Add custom connector and paste the address. No account, sign-in or key is needed. Any app that supports remote MCP servers over Streamable HTTP can use the same address.
What it can do
- Check a US bill's serial number (
check_serial) - Find the rarest US star note runs (
find_star_runs) - List fancy serial number patterns (
list_serial_patterns) - Star note figures coverage (
get_coverage)
Questions it answers well:
- I got a $1 bill with serial A 032 12345 ★, Series 2017A. Is it rare?
- Is MB 123 45678 C on a $20 a fancy serial number?
- Which $2 star notes had the smallest print runs?
- What is a radar serial number, and how rare is it?
What to expect
Answers come from the same figures and code as the lookup on this site, and each one links to its page here. A star note's run size comes from the Bureau of Engraving and Printing's production reports, through the uspapermoney.info archive for older series. Pattern odds are exact counts over all 100,000,000 possible serials. It never gives a price or says whether a note is genuine. The connector only reads; it cannot change anything.
What the connector receives and keeps is in the privacy policy; use is covered by the terms. Questions: [email protected].
